All SunBee heat packs are handmade in Melbourne by Steph who started the store in June 2020. It all began with the original idea of making unique hand warmers and heat packs that would keep people of all different ages cosy and pain free. 

When SunBee Store first opened, lupin heat packs were a relatively new concept. Steph wanted to create something that was not only effective, but also practical, comfortable and genuinely different from the traditional heat pack. What started as a small handmade business has grown into a brand centred around making pain relief more convenient and accessible.

Why Lupins?

Lupins are a type of legume that make an excellent natural filling for heat packs because they retain heat exceptionally well. They're also approximately 30% lighter than traditional wheat-filled heat packs, don't sweat when heated and are naturally odourless, meaning they won't develop the cooked smell that can occur with wheat or rice packs over time.

It's what helps make our heat packs hotter, lighter and longer lasting.

Our scented range of heat packs also come infused with dried lavender which does more than just smell great. The scent is commonly used for aromatherapy and can help to promote calmness and relaxation, soothe headaches, improve sleep and reduce stress and anxiety! We use high quality dried lavender with no artificial fragrances so you don’t have to worry about any nasties.
